Leadership
Meet our pastors
Rev. Nims Obunge MBE DL
Senior Pastor
Nims is Senior Pastor of Freedom’s Ark and CEO of The Peace Alliance.
He responded to God’s call on his life by going to Bible College at the age of 23 after completing a degree in Politics and International Relations. Thereafter he went into full-time ministry where he continues to pursue his vision of developing people to have a love for God and discovering their God-given potentials. He serves as a faith and community leader with a passion for justice, peace, young people, equality, and social cohesion. He wholeheartedly believes in the power and presence of God’s Holy Spirit to transform lives and positively change society
This passion for young people inspired the development of the Young Peace Champions Leadership Programme; ‘What’s the Point?’ a comic addressing knife crime and stop and search; and ‘Untouchable?’ a multimedia pack addressing gun crime. He initiated the London Week of Peace and London Leadership and Peace Awards. Over the years, he has provided employment opportunities for those who have experienced the stigma of having custodial sentences and watched them make significant life changes. He speaks in prisons, challenging inmates to adopt alternative lifestyle choices.
